Woman stabbed in NE Portland


The woman's injury was non-life-threatening

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman was stabbed Saturday night in northeast Portland, said Portland Police.

When officers responded to a report of an assault on NE Fremont Street near Martin Luther King Boulevard just after 10 p.m., they found a woman who had been stabbed. They applied a tourniquet over her wound and she was then taken to a nearby hospital. Police said the injury was non-life-threatening.

While investigating at the scene, NE Fremont St between NE Rodney Ave and MLK Blvd was temporarily closed to traffic.

The victim’s identity and the events that preceded the assault have no been made public. As of Sunday, PPB has not made an arrest related to the assault.
