BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — Mountain View Middle School was temporarily in lockdown on Friday morning.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office said a girl was in the school before it opened, so officials didn’t know if she was a student or not. She was carrying a box out of the chemistry room. However, it was determined the person was a staff member.

The lockdown lasted less than an hour.

The school is part of the Beaverton School District and located at 17500 SW Farmington Rd.
