PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Education students at Portland State University will see a new program they can sign up for next fall semester.
It’s called the Licensure in Elementary Education Program, or LEEP for short, and it’s meant to combat racism and diversify teaching in Oregon schools.
AM Extra was joined by Shanté Stuart McQueen, assistant professor of education at PSU, to talk more about the new program.
