PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland is a city full of great food, so it’s no surprise that two of its restaurants made Yelp’s annual “Top 100 Places for Brunch.”
Yelp released its report on Wednesday — and making the list: Seasons & Regions Seafood Grill and Screen Door.
Seasons and Regions is known for its fresh seafood and its brunch menu includes items like “Smoked Salmon Scramble” and “Dungeness Crab Cake Benedict.” Screen Door specializes in refined Southern specialties like “Fried Chicken & Waffle” and “Lowcountry Shrimp & Grits.”
Yelp determined its 2019 annual best brunch spots by looking at reviews and considered both the rating and the volume of reviews while accounting for the overall volume of reviews in each business’s area in order to level the playing field for businesses with lower review volumes.
Other brunch spots that made the list?
Charlie’s Restaurant in Puyallup, Washington
Orchids in Honolulu, Hawaii
The Dead Fish in Crockett, California
Balthazar Restaurant in New York City
Maple Leaf Diner in Dallas, Texas
Yelp isn’t the only review company shedding light on Portland’s breakfast scene.
In April, Foursquare City Guides released its “Best 15 Places for Breakfast Sandwiches in Portland.”
Among the top restaurants was Fried Egg, I’m In Love. The restaurant is known for its diverse menu of fried egg sandwiches as well as burritos and bowls.
