PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) —  Some local girls are looking for the Grinch who stole their soccer jerseys.

A bag with hundreds of dollars worth of soccer jerseys was taken from the team manager’s porch on December 19 in Fairview. There were about 30 jerseys in the bag waiting for sponsor information to be put on.

According to the mom of one of the players, the jerseys were brand new over the summer.

Addie Keegan and Isabelle Unger have been playing together for the Eastside Timbers for years and said it means a lot to them to have a team uniform to play in.

Isabelle’s mom, Kim Unger, told KOIN the jerseys aren’t worth anything to anyone but the girls and their parents, but it will cost a lot to replace them.

“A grown person probably can’t fit into a little girl’s shirt,” Isabelle said.

Their message to the thief?

“Please give them back,” Addie said.

“And go to jail, please,” Isabelle said.

Addie said it would be a “Christmas miracle,” if the jerseys were returned.
