PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Monday is National Women’s Checkup Day.
It’s a day for women to prioritize their health and develop lifelong health habits, including annual doctor’s visits. With the leading cause of death for women being heart disease, it’s important to take action early.
Board-certified OBGYN and lactation consultant Dr. Jennifer Lincoln joined AM Extra to share more.
Dr. Lincoln said the following things should be focused on for all visits:
- Blood pressure
- Family planning goals
- Cancer screenings
