Hiker rescued from Saddle Mountain

SEASIDE, Ore. (KOIN) – The Coast Guard helped rescue a woman who suffered from heat exhaustion Saturday while hiking Saddle Mountain, near Seaside.

Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Amanda Norcross said the helicopter crew got the call around 6:17 p.m.  The hiker was reportedly unconscious and the Hammond Fire Department needed help getting the woman off the mountain.

The 24-year-old was taken by helicopter to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria.

It is not known at this time her condition.
