PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A homeless man suffered “severe” physical injuries after he was assaulted while trying to sleep overnight in Glen Haven Park, Portland police said.
The man, who wasn’t identified, was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment.
Officers first responded to the park, located at 7900 Northeast Siskiyou Street, at 3:46 a.m. when the man called, seeking medical assistance. Officers, according to a release, had to search through thick fog and limited visibility, but they eventually found the man.
Officers then searched the area, but they didn’t find a suspect.
