PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Anyone who lives in Portland already knows it has a reputation for good coffee and it seems like every week we make a top coffee-related list.
Now, a study by WalletHub ranked Portland the 4th-best coffee city in America.
Topped only by Seattle, New York and San Fransisco, Portland earned its spot based on 14 metrics including prices and Google search traffic.
WalletHub compared the 100 most-populated cities and then used a point system for the 14 metrics.
WalletHub also found Portland ranks 23rd for average spending on coffee per household, 5th for coffee shops, houses and cages per capita and 21st for % of households that own coffee makers.
Portland also tied for first place of most affordable coffee shops and first for most coffee and tea makers per capita.
