PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Toyota Land Cruiser with 5 people inside went off a Clark County road, rolled over and hit a tree, critically injuring a mother and one of her 4 children.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. Saturday in the 5300 block of NE Lockwood Creek Road, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said. The 36-year-old mother was driving the 1992 vehicle when it went off the road.

Her children — ages 2, 8, 10 and 12 — were in the Land Cruiser at the time. The 8-year-old was rushed by ambulance while the mother was airlifted after being removed from the Toyota. Both were rushed to Portland area hospitals and both are in critical condition.

The other children were not hurt and are now with another parent.

No further information is available and the investigation is ongoing.
