Two escape damaging house fire in North Portland

No one was seriously hurt

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Two people escaped a house fire on North Lombard Street and North Boston Street in Portland Saturday afternoon.

Portland Fire and Rescue said the residents got out through a back window and no one was seriously hurt. One person was evaluated at the scene but didn't need to go to the hospital.

Firefighters found heavy fire coming from the front of the house and managed to extinguish it quickly. Crews stayed to put out hot spots.

A fire investigator is working to figure out how the fire started. A power line was also down in the street.
