PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man came out of the Mousetrap Tavern in North Portland Saturday afternoon to find that his car has been stolen with his dog inside.
After the robbery was reported, a North Precinct officer at a Starbucks on Hayden Island saw the stolen green 1998 Honda Civic in the parking lot. He found the driver, 29-year-old Isaiah John Gellatly, and took him into custody.
Gellatly had let the 8-year-old black Lab, Tiger, out of the car not far from where she was taken. Officers found her wandering the neighborhood and returned the dog and car to their owner.
Gallatly was booked into the Multnomha County Jail for unlawful use of a vehicle and an outstanding warrant.
