Man arrested after barricading himself at home with guns

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man wanted for domestic violence and other crimes was arrested by SWAT teams in Clark County Thursday.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said Patrick Churchman, 33, was armed when they served a high-risk search warrant on October 11. He was barricaded in his parents’ Northeast 184th Street home with handguns, rifles and shotguns.

Churchman resisted arrest until less-lethal force and a police canine were used to take him into custody.

He was wanted for the following:

Domestic violence burglary in the first degree, theft of a firearm, domestic violence malicious mischief in the second degree and interfering with the reporting of a domestic violence incident. He was also wanted for unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree, felony violation of a no-contact order and violation of an extreme risk protection order.
