The girl got away by biting his fingers and screaming

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A teenager was accosted by a strange man in Beaverton early Tuesday morning.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the victim reported she was walking home from work on Northwest 185th Avenue when the man walked up behind her and started asking her questions.

She said he wanted to know her age and where she was going. He also offered her illegal drugs.

She tried to get away from him, but he followed her into her apartment complex on Northwest Rock Creek Boulevard. The man grabbed her backpack and put his hand over her mouth.

She got away by biting his fingers and screaming to alert her friend, who ran outside to help.

The suspect ran away. He is a Hispanic man in his early 20s, about 5-foot-9 or 10 with a slim build and thin mustache and goatee. He was wearing a plain white T-shirt and green or khaki pants.
