PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man who turned himself in for sex crimes after 23 years on the run has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Oregon City Police said Wayne Arthur Silsbee, 62, pleaded guilty to 2 counts of sodomy I, 2 counts of sex abuse I and one count of unlawful sexual penetration I.
He turned himself in to police on May 10 for crimes that happened in 1995 and 1996 in Clackamas County.
Silsbee was accused of sex crimes involving several young girls back in the mid-1990s. The FBI said he babysat or took the 8-10-year-old girls to events between September 1995 and April 1996 in Clackamas County.
The FBI said he has lived in Springfield, Missouri, San Fransisco, Colorado, Arizona, northwestern Washingon and most recently in Nebraska.
