MARION COUNTY, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people died and 2 others injured when fire swept through a mobile home in Marion County in the early hours of Thursday.

The family of 4 was inside their home in the 2600 block of Silverfalls Hwy SE around 4:45 a.m. when the fire erupted.

Dora Maria Esteban, 26, and her 1-year-old son James Reyes died in the fire, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said. Her husband, Antonio Reyes, 22, and his 7-year-old son Juan Esteban, were injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Their condition has not been released at this time.

The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical appliance, though the investigation continues.
