PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The last person to see Kyron Horman on June 4, 2010 was his stepmother, Terri. Now, 9 years later, the mystery surrounding his disappearance continues.
His mother, Desiree Young, said the worst torture is not knowing what happened to her then-7-year-old and where he is now. And she still believes Terri — now the ex-wife of Kyron’s dad, Kaine — was involved in his disappearance.
There have been no charges filed or arrests in the case. Terri now lives in California.
“Nine years without his smiles, laughs, hugs without his love,” Young said at a Tuesday press conference. “My heart is broken.”

On the 9th anniversary of Kyron’s disappearance, Young announced she’s working on a book with best-selling author Rebecca Morris called “Love You Forever,” named after the popular children’s book she often read to her son.
“Love You Forever” is expected to be published by the end of 2019. The proceeds of the book, once published, will go toward missing children funds.
