PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Vancouver man, missing after he went on a triathlon training ride on June 27, was found dead on July 1.

Leif Vigeland’s bike was found at Wintler Park on Beach Drive on Saturday, but he wasn’t seen since he left his East Vancouver home on Thursday.

The Clark County Medical Examiner said his body was found July 1 but did not say how he died. He was 36.

The Vancouver Police Department confirmed his body was found in the Columbia River near Wintler Park.
