PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Monday, June 4 marks eight years since Kyron Horman went missing.
The then 7-year-old boy disappeared from Skyline Elementary School in Portland.
Hundreds of people helped search for the boy in the following days and months but his family isn't giving up hope that he'll be found.
On Saturday, Kyron's dad, Kaine Horman, was at the All Ford Car Show in Washington County raising awareness and hoping to keep Kyron on people's minds.
"We believe he's still out there," he said. "We've been talking pretty heavily with investigators. They're still heavily involved... we still believe he's out there so we still need people's help looking."
The family doesn't have any events planned for Monday, but Kaine said it will be a family day.
"For us, it's not about the anniversary," he said. "For us, it's every day."
