Murder, arson suspect arrested in 2018 case


PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Officers arrested a man on murder and arson charges after he went to pick up a car from a police impound lot in Gresham. 

Samuel Herrera was arrested April 10 after a staff member at the Gresham Police Department’s Rockwood station impound lot noticed he had a warrant for his arrest. 

Herrera is accused of killing a person in September of 2018 and setting a car on fire, according to court documents. 

Gresham police have not identified the victim. 

Herrera has a long criminal history and is being held without bail. 

He was due to appear in court on Friday.
