Neighbors say animals near Lebanon are neglected

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — People who live near a property southeast of Lebanon are worried because they say dozens of horses and other animals are being severely neglected.

Neighbors said at least 13 horses have died on the property over the past few months and their bodies were left out in the field.

Some describe the horses as emaciated and said they’re being kept in small pens that are exposed to the elements.

Neighbors are angry with authorities for dragging their feet.

The Linn County Sheriff told KOIN 6 News it’s part of an ongoing investigation and they hope to wrap it up in a week or so.
