PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland-based Olympia Provisions is recalling nearly 200 pounds of sausage shipped to Oregon, California and Washington.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service made the announcement Sunday.
The recall affects ready-to-eat pork sausage products labeled as “Mortadella Classica with garlic and spices” with a best-by date of 12-30-2019.
The company said the sausage should have been labeled as “Mortadella Pistachio” products and therefore contained undeclared allergens.
A complaint was reportedly filed by a customer but, so far, there have been no confirmed cases of someone having a reaction to after eating the sausage.
Consumers should throw away the mislabelled products or return them to wherever they bought them.
