PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The 32nd Annual Oregon Brewers Festival kicked off Wednesday at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
The festival will feature 101 beers and ciders from 34 cities all over Oregon. Organizers said last year’s festival only included 2 ciders but this year they’re pouring 8.
In addition to all the beer and cider, there will be a DJ playing music throughout the park, a tent to meet the brewers, a dunk tank and lawn games.
The fun kicked off with a parade of brewers from Ecliptic Brewing on N Cook Street to Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The Unipiper joined brewers, festival founder Art Larrance, a marching band and more.
It’s free to get in but to taste beers and ciders, it’s $20 for a package with a souvenir mug and 10 tokens. Extra tokens are $1 each and a full 12-ounce beer is 4 tokens. The event is cash only.
After the opening ceremony, the festival is 12-9 p.m. through Saturday, July 27.
