Crews stopped the gas line leak in less than an hour

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Fourteen homes were temporarily evacuated near West 3rd Street and South Lincoln Street in Newberg as a precautionary measure after a gas line ruptured Friday morning.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue said NW Natural stopped the gas leak in less than an hour.

While crews are still working to repair the line, those who were evacuated can return home.
