Fatal head-on collision on Hwy 101 in Tillamook County

One driver did not survive

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Bay City man died in a head-on collision on Highway 101 Friday night.

Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency responders were called out to the scene near milepost 62 in Tillamook County at approximately 9:16 p.m. A 1992 Chevrolet had collided with a U-Haul truck after the Chevrolet crossed into oncoming traffic, said OSP about the investigation’s preliminary findings.

Randall Sisson, 57, of Bay City, was driving the Chevrolet. He did not survive the crash.

The driver of the U-Haul, 66-year-old Darryl Borg, of Nehalem, and his passenger Steven Borg were not injured.

OSP did not disclosed what caused Sisson to cross into the other lane of traffic.
