PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Fort George Brewery in Astoria is expanding, they announced this week.

The plans include expanding at the former Astoria Warehousing site on Astoria’s waterfront – 124,000 square feet of space.

They will move their canning operations to the new space and build a production brewery with equipment they bought when BridgePort Brewing closed.

Their two smaller breweries will stay at their current locations. They hope to use the new space for specialty and experimental beers.

The expansion is set to create 35 jobs in the next five years.
