Portland City Council to hold meeting on climate change

The public meet is at PCC's Southeast campus from 6-8 p.m.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland City Council plans to discuss climate change and proposed actions to advance Portland’s action against climate change.

One of the major topics they will discuss is the creation of bus priority lanes to improve public transit service across Portland.

Commissioners say the bus lanes will lead to quicker and more reliable transit. They also serve to confront climate change.

The council will also hear a progress report on its initiative to develop a zero-carbon building policy roadmap.

The public meeting is Thursday at Portland Community College’s Southeast Campus from 6 to 8 p.m.
