PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The slightly offbeat advertising campaign Travel Oregon has used for the summer is being tweaked for the winter months, with 7 hand-painted murals scattered throughout the state for people to find.
The Oregon Mural Trail was put together to help in- and out-of-state travelers to explore different parts of the state. Five of the murals will be in Roseburg, The Dalles, Prineville, Oakridge and Ontario, with 2 more spots to be announced soon, said Travel Oregon’s Linea Gagliano.
This is an update to the “Only Slightly Exaggerated” campaign Travel Oregon began using earlier this year. The update will help people “find that magical feeling” throughout the winters months.
“With all that rain comes a lot of beautiful things,” she told KOIN 6 News. “We wanted to highlight all of that.”
The campaign will continue through at least next spring, but she said they’ll “keep it fresh and new.”
