PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A “door-to-door magazine salesman” is wanted by Portland police for allegedly running a fraud on city residents.

Police believe Lannell Lasso is the man who wore a white dress shirt and tie as he went door-to-door as a magazine seller working to earn money to complete a medical assistant degree. Lasso, police said, convinced customers to “subscribe” to the magazines from P.S. Circulation LLC and have them delivered to a nearby non-profit organization.

But when it came to paying for the subscription, the man requested the check be payable to him.

Lonnell, 24, was identified by investigators after the incidents were reported in October 2017 and again in January 2018.

P.S. Circulation LLC is permanently barred by the State of Oregon Department of Justice from doing business in the state.
