PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — WinCo Foods is recalling 12-ounce bags of frozen red raspberries due to potential contamination of the highly contagious norovirus.
The berries come from Rader Farms out of Bellingham, Washington. The bags under the recall have a “best by” date of Feb. 13, 2021.
The product was sent to several states, including Oregon, Washington and California, however, WinCo has removed the potentially affected product from its shelves.
If you have these berries in your freezer, throw them out.
Typical symptoms of norovirus include acute onset of vomiting, watery, non-blood diarrhea with abdominal cramps and nausea. While most symptoms end within 48 hours, the elderly, young children and those with weak immune systems may develop prolonged or more severe symptoms.
