PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was caught in a sting operation arranging to meet someone he believed was a 16-year-old girl for sex.
The Washington County District Attorney’s Office said Juan Gabriel Sosa used a social media app to talk and exchange illicit pictures with an undercover officer posing a teenager. Sosa was 27 at the time.

Undercover officers found him with a concealed loaded gun in his waistband and a condom in his pocket.
Sosa was convicted of luring a minor, 2nd-degree attempted sex abuse and unlawful possession of a firearm. His sentencing is scheduled or May 3.
