Street racing crackdown continues, 2 more arrested

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two more men were arrested Sunday night in the ongoing crackdown against street racers in Portland.

Weston Obrien, 29, and Daniel Lopez, 19, were arrested during the operation in North and Northeast Portland, police said. PPB’s Air Support Unit was also involved in the weekend operation.

Obrien, 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds, was arrested on felony warrants for parole violation and a misdemeanor for criminal mischief.

Lopez, 5-foot-4 and 234 pounds, faces reckless driving and reckless endangering charges.

At least one car was towed away during the Sunday operation.
