I-5 NB lanes in Salem reopen following fuel spill

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — At least 100 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from a semi truck’s punctured gas tank on Friday morning — temporarily shutting down two of the three northbound lanes of I-5 near Delaney Road.

According to ODOT, the incident happened before 5:30 a.m. at milepost 247 in South Salem.

One lane reopened around 6:30 a.m. and the other reopened shortly before 7 a.m.
