PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Ammon Bundy’s attorney Marcus Mumford was tackled to the ground and hit with a stun gun after arguing for his client’s release following his acquittal on charges related to the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge takeover Thursday afternoon.

Mumford demanded Bundy be immediately released and repeatedly yelled at Judge Anna J. Brown before US Marshals took him into custody.

Judge Brown said she could not release Bundy because he still faces charges in Nevada stemming from the armed standoff at his father Cliven’s Bunkerville ranch.

“I said, ‘Show me the authority, show me the papers,'” Mumford told reporters outside the U.S. District Courthouse in downtown Portland after his release. “When you get acquitted you get released… If they have an arrest warrant, show it to me.”

Mumford said he told the judge “how much [he] respected her and how much of a privilege it was to litigate in front of her” once he was picked up off the ground.

He said he believed he was cited for disorderly conduct and resisting lawful order.
