VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — Vancouver police were able to nab a “purrrpertrator” recently — despite its unwillingness to comply with officers’ orders.

Officers said the “barricaded subject” was found underneath one of their patrol cars.

While the distressed kitten was meowing for help, she wouldn’t come out. So, officers negotiated with her — and when the time was right (because ya know, cats are stubborn), they were able to rescue her.

Aside from being a bit scared, she appeared to be in good health.

According to VPD, she was taken home by an officer where she’s getting all the “help” she needs — which includes food, cuddles and toys.
