Warm up on the way, could be hottest yet


PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Temperatures will begin to climb again on Tuesday.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for the entire Willamette Valley, SW Washington and the Columbia River Gorge Wednesday morning through Friday night.

In addition, a Fire Weather Watch will be in effect Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures soar into the mid-90’s on Wednesday. By Thursday and Friday, most locations along the I-5 corridor and through the gorge will be close to 100 degrees.

The hottest days of the year will likely appear late this week. So far, the hottest temperature recorded at the Portland International Airport was 97 degrees on July 2nd, 18th & 19th.

Temperatures cool a little bit this weekend, but it will still be hot. Expect highs in the low to mid-90s Saturday through Monday.
