PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An anti-Trump protester spit on a KOIN 6 News camera held by video journalist Karl Petersen early Wednesday morning.
Petersen was covering the election result protests alongside reporter Brent Weisberg when one of them approached the camera, yelled directly into it and spit on it.
Protesters gathered late Tuesday night in downtown Portland as election results came in. The crowd marched through the city and dissipated around 5 a.m.
The Associated Press announced Donald Trump had won the election just before 2:30 a.m. EST.
More protests are planned for later Wednesday.
