PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — It’s been 30 years since the first Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival brought Portlanders to their feet in the heat of summer.
In honor of the anniversary, KOIN 6 News anchor Ken Boddie is taking a look back at the last 3 decades in blues music and the impact the festival has had on Portland.
This year’s Waterfront Blues Fest is being held June 30 – July 4.
