Downed power line sparks wildfire in SE Portland


The flames spread quickly to cover 100-square-feet

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Firefighters battled a small wildfire in Southeast Portland Friday night.

It started earlier in the evening on Southeast Foster and 158th Avenue. Investigators said it was caused by a downed power line. Flames quickly spread to approximately 100-square-feet.

Responding crews called the incident a “wildfire” to get enough firefighters into the area to control the flames.
