PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Before you head out the door Monday morning, it’s best to layer up: hats, scarves and gloves.
Temperatures will remain in the 20s for the morning, but it will feel a lot colder due to the gusty winds.
By the afternoon, the temperatures will be in the low 40s, however, the wind chill is expected to remain in the lower teens. The metro area could see winds between 15-25 miles per hour throughout the day.
If you want to chase the wind — the place to be is always the Vista House in the Columbia River Gorge. On Monday morning, it was 25 degrees with winds reaching 50 miles per hour, creating a wind chill of 8 degrees.
The good news?
The greater Portland area will remain dry and the sun will be out Monday and into Tuesday before the area starts to see some rain, potentially on Wednesday.
