BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — A 19-year-old woman was arrested late Sunday night after she allegedly pointed a handgun at a group of people.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect approached the friend group at Vista Brook Park in Raleigh Hills shortly after 11 p.m. The trio ran to a nearby house and asked the homeowner to call 911. They were able to describe the suspect and the firearm.

Once deputies arrived in the area and walked along the Fanno Creek Trail, they found the suspect — later identified as Kadin E. Moore of Beaverton.

While searching Moore, deputies found a realistic-looking airsoft gun. She was arrested and charged with menacing.

Moore explained to authorities that she was playing a prank on the group, however, the suspect and victims didn’t know each other.

Moore was lodged at the Washington County jail before being released Monday morning.

The sheriff’s office said Kadin identifies as a female
