PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — You might have seen the season-opening, 52-36 loss to Oklahoma State coming. Dropping one on the road at Hawaii probably came as a bit of a surprise.
However you look at the first two games of the college football season for Oregon State, one thing is clear: A win over FCS Cal Poly this weekend is a must if the Beavers are going to build any momentum headed into the bye week and their PAC 12 opener Sept. 28 against Stanford.
Oregon State hosts the Mustangs, out of the Big Sky conference, at Reeser Stadium in Corvallis Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1:15 p.m. You will be able to see the game on the PAC 12 Network.
Before the Beavers try to bounce back and grab their first win of the season, KOIN 6 digital sports reporter Marcus Greaves talks to Beavers analyst Darell Garretson and Angie Machado from Beaverblitz. They chat about what went wrong for Oregon State against Hawaii, what we can expect to see from Cal Poly and if there is any way the Beavers can right the ship and contend in the conference.
