PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The effort to bring Major League Baseball to Portland is progressing well, but spokesperson Mike Barrett said details about what’s going on aren’t quite ready for prime time.
The Portland Diamond Project was expected to announce its stadium location around this time. But things are going a little slower than expected.
“I know that fans are aching to hear more and they want more information,” Barrett said. “They will soon. Right now it’s about making sure we have all the hay in the barn before we come out with something public.”
In the meantime, an MLB corn maze is in place on Sauvie Island. The maze at Bella Organic Farms is open through the end of October.
