PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Terry Stotts will continue roaming the sidelines as the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers after agreeing to a contract extension, team president Neil Olshey announced Tuesday.
Though terms of the deal have not yet been released, the announcement was made during the team’s exit interviews with the media.
Stotts has been the Blazers head coach since the 2012-13 season. In his 7 seasons, Stotts has led Portland to the playoffs 6 straight seasons. That includes three 50+ win seasons, including 53 wins this season.
Portland got swept by Golden State on Monday, losing 119-117 at Moda Center. That makes it 10 consecutive playoff losses to the two-time defending champs.
