PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Oregon Ducks reportedly lost some depth to their wide receiver position Tuesday during fall camp practice.
Senior receiver Brenden Schooler suffered a foot injury that will keep him on the sideline for six to eight weeks, according to 247Sports.
Schooler, who originally came to Oregon as a safety, was flipped to a receiver and first-team all-conference specialist back-to-back seasons.
“He’s not only a great player, he’s a great leader,” said head coach Mario Cristobal. “I feel terrible for him, we all do.”
Now, Cristobal and his staff will need to see someone step up and fill in Schooler’s shoes.
