PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Six people staying at a bed & breakfast in Cowlitz County escaped an early Sunday morning fire.

Cowlitz Fire & Rescue officials say the fire started before 3 a.m. in the 6300 block of Willow Grove Road. It took crews an hour to put out the fire.

One person injured their foot and was taken to a hospital.

The building was a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
