PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Sunday was National Clear the Shelters Day and one local pet center took it to another level.
One Tail at a Time Portland held its first-ever Clear the Foster Homes event at Point Gym and Kitchen.
The goal was the get pre-approved homes to find dogs to take home on the spot.
“In honor of Clear the Shelters, which was this weekend, we decided to do our own take it and clear our foster homes,” executive director Juli Zagrans said. “So the owners of Point Gym and Kitchen both adopted dogs with us and said ‘you can use our space.'”
Five of the 8 dogs were adopted within the first hour of the event.
