DEQ issues air quality advisory for Portland metro

Due to smog

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and Washington Southwest Clean Air Agency issued an air quality advisory today for the Portland and Vancouver metro area on Wednesday.

They said it was due to elevated levels of ozone pollution or smog.

They said the levels on Wednesday afternoon could be unhealthy for sensitive groups including children, elderly people, pregnant women and people with medical conditions.

Temperatures were expected into the upper 90s on Wednesday.

They said to limit time outdoors.
