PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Grab the flannel sheets for the bed, it’s going to get chilly overnight this weekend. It’s been 139 days since we’ve seen a sub-50-degree temperature. We have to go back to May 8 at 49 degrees for that cool forecast.
This morning, many neighborhoods actually cooled to the 40s and even some upper 30s over in central Oregon. Portland still holding tough in the 50s, but most of you on the Oregon coast and even Salem took the plunge.
By Friday we are anticipating temperatures down to the upper 40s around Portland, but it’s actually Sunday morning when the temperatures will even fall cooler to the lower 40s. If you have some plans early in the morning hours, I would bundle up and have that fleece ready. It’s this deep upper-level trough that will continue to usher in the cool air from Canada.
