Another day of heavy rain hits metro area


The flood advisory is in effect through 5:45 p.m.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Heavy rain hit the Portland area Tuesday afternoon, prompting a flood advisory for the Willamette Valley in the afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory at 3:15 p.m. through 5:45 p.m.

Expect heavy rain, possible thunderstorms with lightning and wet roads.

Flooding in downtown Portland affected some businesses Tuesday afternoon, including the Portland 5 Centers for the Arts. The box office at 1111 SW Broadway was closed but moving to the Keller Auditorium. The Arlene Schnitzer box office is open.
